Research

At this point, regional focus for the application is Rajasthan, So traveled to rural village areas in Rajasthan and spoke with local villagers who visited to hospitals just to understand the whole process of

  • 1. How users/patients are approaching doctors
  • 2. Storing their records
  • 3. Analysing the type of records
  • 4. Re-use of records
  • 5. Doctor appointment booking
Other than functional, below generic as part of user research
  • 1. user's knowledge of using smart phone
  • 2. Internet usage
  • 3. Type of apps users using
  • 4. Mobile Network services of the users
  • 5. Understanding of the efforts required for the user learning.
  • 6. Average aspect ratio of the phones
  • 7. Sex ratio and age ratio of phone users
  • 8. Average mobile users in a family

Based on the above research, report has been created with below possible solutions.

  • 1. App should be in informative rather than visually heavy
  • 2. App should be very lite, as there are many locations, still there are no network
  • 3. Continuation of above point, Should allow users to perform actions even if there's no internet connection, but those entries will be updated later whenever app gets network.
  • 4. App should make user to learn to perform actions easily.
  • 5. Application should be available free for sometime for users, But of course its part of MVP, I dint not have control over this.
  • 6. also documented more solutions which come under process streamlining in functional perspective.

IAS & WFS definintion

Once the research part done, returned back to Pune, with all my equipment, Immersed my self into creating, IAs and user flows, Then wasted lots of pencils and papers for sketches :P. my work book filled with many sketches. after some iterations, finally reached to a stage where created wfs felt good. That's all set, Then, Jumped to Adobe suite, turned those low fidelity to high fidelity prots, Here's the another challenge is to create as low graphic content as possible at the same time, System feedback should be great and visual appeal should be informative. Keeping these things in mind, designs has been derived.
To evaluate designs, had to approach some unknown people whenever i get a chance and made required iterations then delivered to dev team, This process is only for rural application and whole different story for Urban application.
